Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp. baking power
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup Ellsworth Butter 1 1/2 sticks of butter, cold and sliced
  • 1/2 cup Ellsworth butter 1 stick, softened
  • 1 1/2 cup Ellsworth Sharp Cheddar Cheese shredded

Equipment

  • Electric Mixer

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, and ¾ cup butter to a large bowl. Using an electric mixer, start on low speed and gradually increase to medium, mixing until a dough forms with small, pea-sized pieces of butter. Slowly add the milk, mixing on low just until combined. Gently fold in the cheese and 2 teaspoons of garlic powder.
  2. Using a spoon, place 2" blobs of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until biscuits are golden.
  4. While you wait, melt ½ cup butter in a small bowl in the microwave, stirring every 20 seconds until melted. Stir in the parsley and the last teaspoon of garlic powder.
  5. Brush butter mixture on top of each biscuit while still warm.
